LMBV began with an after-use rehabilitation concept for the 54-hectare Lauchhammer industrial site in 1991. LMBV and the neighbouring local authorities collaborated in the modern development of the site, and today 38 hectares are available for commercial use. A number of companies have already moved in; they include Vestas Blade, which has both production and storage buildings on the site.

Result

That Vestas Blade, alone, has provided employment for 450 workers. The inclusion of the eight other businesses shows that LMBV has facilitated the introduction of 566 jobs. So far 58% of the Lauchammer site has been sold.
